This workshop is designed for families who want to make sure they start the school year off on teh right foot. I designed this to be comprehensive and powerful. We start off in the morning with parents and their 2E child, break for lunch and come back for a parent only session. The next day we start with a student only session, break for lunch and come back for another combined session.
We dive into all the topics needed for success, homework management, planning, stress, communication, advocacy, the brain, how to study using your style, and much more. You’ll learn everything you need for a solid foundation!
Best of all, it comes from me, so you don’t have to lecture them!

I was adopted so this talk is especially meaningful to me. It will take place at one of the Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families. These incredible caps take place each summer in various places around Colorado. This talk will be at the Latin American Heritage Camp.
Learn how adoption and executive function combine to influence a student’s school experiences and what you can do to help students navigate better. Learn to discern if a challenge is related more to executive function or as a result of the experiences surrounding adoption. Learn about how education can empower children to find their path, and build upon their strengths.
