Look, the Jump Start program starts this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Pacific. It’s an online program for you and your middle school or high schooler to make sure they get the right jump start for the school year.

Here’s the pattern: your child starts off strong, everything is going fine, and then six to eight weeks into the semester, suddenly something happens. Either you go to conferences, or you check their online grades, or you get an email from a teacher. You notice that your student is suddenly struggling in a handful of classes.

You look at your child and say, “What’s going on? I don’t understand—I thought everything was going fine.” Then they spend the rest of the semester swimming upstream, digging themselves out of holes. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t. Then they repeat the cycle in the spring semester.

Meanwhile, right now they’re telling you, “Don’t worry, Mom. Don’t worry, Dad. I’ve got everything. I’m off to a strong start.” And they’re very convincing. You ask them questions like, “Are you doing your homework? Are you turning everything in? How are your tasks?” And they say, “Fine, fine, leave me alone. Why don’t you trust me?” And then everything falls apart around weeks six to eight.

Now, this Jump Start program is something I’ve designed. It’s a four-week intensive webinar series held on Saturdays. You and your child will come on Saturday mornings. It will be recorded if you can’t attend live.

I will teach you all the systems—how I teach and how I coach people. I will go through everything in detail so you understand exactly how to implement it. It will be both entertaining and practical, and there will be time for parents without kids so you can ask questions.

Each week throughout the four Saturdays, you and your child will receive emails telling you what to do that day, along with inspiration and guidance. I’m really excited about it.
